12 days. The Big Five. Ancient tribes. Zanzibar sunsets. This isn't just a trip — it's the African safari you've been dreaming about since you first watched a nature documentary and thought, "I need to see that with my own eyes."

Join Travel Gal Suz on an intimate group safari through Tanzania's most iconic national parks, followed by four blissful all-inclusive nights on the white-sand beaches of Zanzibar. From the endless golden plains of the Serengeti to the ancient volcanic wonder of the Ngorongoro Crater, every day delivers a once-in-a-lifetime moment.

Your Day-by-Day Safari Itinerary

Day 1 — Saturday, October 31: Arrival in Arusha

Touch down at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to Kibo Palace Hotel in Arusha — your gateway to the Tanzanian wilderness. Settle in, meet your fellow adventurers, and prepare for the journey of a lifetime.

Day 2 — Sunday, November 1: Tarangire National Park (B, L, D)

Your African safari begins at Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania's most underrated gems. Watch herds of hundreds of elephants roam beneath ancient baobab trees — some over 1,000 years old. Keep your eyes peeled for African pythons, tree-climbing lions, and over 550 bird species. Overnight at the stunning Mare Valley Lodge.

Day 3 — Monday, November 2: Ngorongoro Crater (B, L, D)

Today you'll descend into the Ngorongoro Crater — a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most extraordinary natural wonders on Earth. This collapsed volcanic caldera is home to approximately 25,000 large animals, making it the densest concentration of wildlife in Africa. This is where you'll have your best chance of spotting the legendary Big Five: elephants, buffalo, lions, leopards, and the critically endangered black rhino.

Day 4 — Tuesday, November 3: Journey to the Serengeti (B, L, D)

Cross the Ngorongoro Conservation Area toward the Serengeti National Park — whose name means "Endless Plains" in the Maasai language. Enjoy a photo safari en route, with picnic lunch surrounded by the African bush. Settle in for two nights at the remarkable Embalakai Camps in the heart of the Serengeti.

Day 5 — Wednesday, November 4: Full Day Serengeti Safari (B, L, D)

A full day exploring the Serengeti's endless lowlands. This is prime territory for witnessing the raw drama of the African savanna — lion prides on the hunt, cheetahs in full sprint, hyena clans, leopards lounging in acacia trees, and the spectacular wildebeest migration. Your professional safari guide knows exactly where to find the action.

Day 6 — Thursday, November 5: Serengeti to Arusha (B, L, D)

One final morning game drive through the Serengeti before heading back to Arusha. Tonight is special: a traditional Tanzanian tribes dinner at the beautiful Farm of Dreams Lodge — an authentic cultural experience you won't find on any ordinary tour.

Day 7 — Friday, November 6: Hadzabe & Datoga Tribes Experience (B, L)

This is the day that sets this trip apart from every other safari. Travel to Lake Eyasi to meet the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes — among the last hunter-gatherer communities on Earth. Through a local interpreter, learn their extraordinary click language, observe centuries-old hunting techniques, visit their homes, and connect with a way of life that has endured for over 10,000 years. This isn't a tourist show — it's a profound, humbling encounter with human heritage.

Day 8 — Saturday, November 7: Fly to Zanzibar (B)

Transfer to Arusha airport for your flight to the Spice Island of Zanzibar. Arrive and check into the all-inclusive My Blue Hotel — your beachfront paradise for the next four nights. Trade your safari khakis for a swimsuit and let the turquoise Indian Ocean wash away any remaining stress.

Days 9–11 — Zanzibar Beach Bliss (All-Inclusive)

Four nights of pure relaxation at your all-inclusive beach resort. Swim in crystal-clear waters, explore Stone Town's UNESCO heritage, snorkel over coral reefs, visit a spice farm, or simply read a book under a palm tree with a cocktail in hand. This is the reward after an extraordinary safari adventure.

Day 12 — Wednesday, November 11: Departure

Transfer to Zanzibar airport for your international flight home, with a camera full of memories and stories that will make everyone at home wildly jealous.
